Earthquake physics: earthquake nucleation, dynamic rupture complexity, off-fault damage, bimaterial rupture, rupture on non-planar faults, slow slip and tectonic tremor.

Earthquake source seismology: microearthquake studies, array seismology, networks of arrays for source imaging and tremor monitoring, strong motion seismology from space, earthquake hazard evaluation and monitoring in Peru, post-earthquake seismic deployment in Chile. Theoretical and computational seismology: spectral element and discontinuous Galerkin methods for earthquake rupture and wave propagation, computational earthquake dynamics.
