Research

My current research mainly focuses on understanding the short-timescale variations in Antarctica ice flows due to tidal forcings. With Prof. Mark Simons, we employ systematic SAR observations to infer the tide-induced 3D motions on ice streams. From this study, we hope to gain new insights into ice shelf buttressing stress and provide new constraints on the dynamic response of glaciers to sea-level changes.
