Dr. Hiroo Kanamori Elected Foreign Associate of the National Academy of Sciences

Dr. Hiroo Kanamori, John E. and Hazel S. Smits Professor of Geophysics, Emeritus was elected foreign associate of the National Academy of Sciences. The 21 foreign associates are from 15 countries in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. They are nonvoting members of the Academy, with citizenship outside the United States.
